What WWII Taught Us About The Value Of Career & Technical Education
Friday September 11, 2026 10:15am - 11:00am PDT
In the 1930s, Ed Link faced a challenge familiar to every CTE educator: convincing industry that skills learned in a class could transfer to the real world. Proving that pilots trained on his flight simulator could safely fly using instruments, he transformed aviation training. This session explores how CTE educators can follow the same model- showcasing student skills, engaging industry partners, and demonstrating the value of hands-on learning to strengthen programs and career pathways.
