The Multiplier Effect: Leading in a way that grows people, capacity and impact
Friday September 11, 2026 2:45am - 3:30am PDT
This presentation explores two dramatically different types of leaders: those who diminish the intelligence, energy, and capability of the people around them, and those who multiply it. Diminishers often feel the need to be the smartest person in the room, unintentionally limiting the contributions and growth of others. Multipliers, by contrast, use their intelligence and influence to draw out the strengths, ideas, and abilities of the people they lead.
Designed around leadership growth and development, the presentation will help students, teachers, coaches and administration to examine how leadership style affects individual and team performance. Participants will explore how effective leaders create environments where people are challenged, trusted, and inspired to stretch beyond what they thought possible—often producing results that surpass expectations.

A central focus will be self-discovery. Participants will identify their own strengths, consider how those strengths shape the way they lead, and reflect on behaviors that may either diminish or multiply the capabilities of others. Through reflection and discussion, participants will begin answering an important leadership question: Am I acting as a Diminisher or a Multiplier—and what kind of leader do I want to become?

The overall goal is to help everyone develop a more intentional leadership style—one that recognizes the potential in others, creates opportunities for growth, and builds stronger, more capable people and teams.
