Explore how secondary IT and cybersecurity teachers can support smoother transitions into college programs. This session shares postsecondary insights on student readiness, emphasizing problem-solving, troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and independent learning habits that strengthen pathways from CTE classrooms to college and careers.
In this session, participants will explore practical strategies for developing entrepreneurial thinking and problem-solving skills in students. Attendees will engage in two hands-on, classroom-ready activities that guide learners through opportunity recognition and solution design. Participants will leave with experience using these activities, along with adaptable ideas and resources to strengthen entrepreneurship instruction across a variety of learning environments.
Cybersecurity instruction does not require a computer lab. In this interactive session, CTE educators will experience paper-based, mobile-friendly, and presenter-led activities on phishing, passwords, AI scams, social engineering, and digital ethics. Participants leave with classroom-ready strategies adaptable for middle and high school learners.
